Your Human Advantage as an Author

Beyond the Margins: Build a Profitable Author Business

Authors,

We want to share a bit about what's been capturing our attention recently at Conspire Creative: writing and being an author in the era of AI and algorithms.

It’s easy to feel as though AI will leave no place for us in the market. But I don’t see it that way. In a world with AI writing and AI “creativity,” human creativity only stands out more. Only humans can express their unique personalities, curate experiences others seek, and create meaning that resonates. Successful author businesses have always thrived and been built on the recognition of these strengths.

From the archives are the pair of articles bundled with next month’s free Zoom Power Hour, where authors from our community will join Sharon to explore our role in what futurists are calling the “Human Preference Economy.” (Sign up here if it’s piqued your interest!)

Our goal is to help you, authors, see AI not as your replacement, but as a development that makes your unique work as authors more valuable.

Free Virtual Power Hours

Take a moment and RSVP for one or more of our free monthly Zoom calls. It's one hour that combines a little bit of author business education and a lot of community support and brainstorming for your questions and challenges.

Each one is designed for you to make more money as an author and create/refine your author business model.

Authors, There’s only one thing that matters more than money for your business — yes, that’s right, there’s something more important for a business than profit: people. Profit is necessary. But what makes profit possible in the first place? People caring. People choosing to buy, read, recommend, collaborate, participate, hire, listen, and engage. At bottom, a business is built on relationships with humans and the value we create for them. We’re meaning-makers; do what you can to serve others...

Beyond the Margins: Build a Profitable Author Business Dear Authors, We run businesses. I look forward to continuing to help Sharon guide authors toward building their own sustainable...
